Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.
The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Graciously affected of God***1 Samuel 10:26***And Saul also went to his house to Gibeah; and there went with him the host, whose hearts God had touched.

1 Chronicles 29:18***O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee;

Prov 21:1 & 2***The king’s heart is in the hand of Jehovah as the watercourses:     He turneth it whither so ever he will.
    Every way of a man is right in his own eyes;     But Jehovah weigheth the hearts.
Jeremiah 20:9***And if I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I cannot contain.

Acts 16:14***And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple of the city of Thyatira, one that worshiped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened to give heed unto the things which were spoken by Paul.

Strengthened***Psalms 27:14***Wait for Jehovah: Be strong, And let thy heart take courage;     Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.

Psalms 112:8***His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,     Until he see his desire upon his adversaries.

1 Thessalonians 3:13***to the end he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

Enlightened***2 Corinthians 4:6***Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Tried***1 Chronicles 29:17***I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, that are present here, offer willingly unto thee.

Psalms 7:9***O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous:     For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts.

It should render to God:Obedience***Ephesians 6:5-8***Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
not in the way of eye service, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men:
knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Faith***Romans 10:8-14***But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:
for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

                               Salvation on the Roman Road!
The Plan of Salvation:A  long time ago, a Roman Jailer asked of the Apostle Paul the most important question that could ever be asked., "What must I do to be saved?"

Paul's answer was immediate, to the point, clear, & concise. He said: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, * you shall be saved, & your household" Acts 16-30 & 31.
Man named Nicodemus also asked in John 3:1-8 ["You must be born again!]

1.For all have sinned, & come short of the glory of God;...Romans 3:23

2.For the wages of sin is death;...but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

3.But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

4.For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 19:13

5.That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, & shall believe in your heart [spirit] that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
6. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, & acceptable, & perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2
